My thoughts on Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream
Ohhh Missha, but why do you need your great products to be so strongly scented.
I don’t know if it is I that is very sensitive to these scents, but I have written a review on their BB boomer also and that smell just overwhelms me. When I use these two products together I can’t stand the smell. But I have read quite many reviews on this and I have not seen anyone pointing out the scent, so the problem is for sure me and my nose.
The product itself is so great, and I just love the qualities of the BB cream.
It is quite thick in consistency compared to many other BB creams, but it is easy to apply. The finish is a mix between dewy and matte, if you want it completely matt you can always use a powder on top.
The product also has a grayish tone to it which I don’t like at all. Who wants to look like a ghost? But don’t be too scared after applying because It will oxidize and a lot of the grey will disappear, but it is still a little bit grey. If you have a yellow undertone then you can always blend two shades to get a perfect match.
The coverage is really great and to me it is more a foundation then a BB cream, because usually a BB cream has lighter coverage. This one is just really amazing.
I apply this one using my fingers and the result is great, if you want lesser coverage you can apply it with a moist sponge. It is very moisturizing for my dry skin and it will not make my skin feel cracked during the day. If you have oily skin you could even skip the normal moisturizer before applying this. It also sets very fast and will not leave a sticky residue. It will also last me the whole day.
I love the packaging with the pump. It is hygienic and simple. The tube itself is just ordinary, not much going on there with bling bling or cuteness.
Since I have a yellow undertone the problem is the grayish cast so to get somehow around it a mix to shades nr 23 and 27, During summer 27 fits me better. I usually mix 2 parts of 23 and 1 part 27 just to get a more yellow undertone to it. Missha has other shades 29 and 31 that has a different undertone to them, but I have not yet tried them out. I haven’t found them in any Korean online shop or on Ebay as of yet. You can also find them on Missha Baltic and German sites
I would definitely recommend getting samples of this one first just to find the right shade. Because it is an amazing product and the shades are really different as seen on the pictures.
It hurts not giving this product a 7/7 but since the grey cast I just can’t.
I give this product 6,5/7
