My thoughts on Etude House fix & fix tone up primer
I really have difficulties using Korean green primers. These primers are simply primers to even your skin tone from redness (which I do have) and to make the final result more even. But what always seem to happen on me is that I look like a freakish clown. I turn completely pale and that to me is not even the skin tone at all, that is simply bleaching my appearance. And that is a big no no for me. I have tried day creams to even the skin tone before and they work much better than primers on me. A primer it doesn’t penetrate the skin compared to a day cream with green tones in it. The primer rather acts as an extra layer on top of everything else. I have tried using just a tiny amount and still it just gives me a pale appearance.
I am a Swede, but I am still not super pale and if I use this on my face and then apply foundation over it just looks super weird. My head will look like it is attached on someone else’s body.
This is the same if I only use it in those areas where I need them so this is again a big No for me.
I have tried this primer without anything else, to see if the whitening effect settles after a while, but no. Not on me. This really is a type of product I would love to use, but since this version makes me paler than pale it is simple impossible for me to like it.
I have tried it with the cushion as well and it simply doesn’t work on my skin. The result is patchy and I just look pale and weird. I will try diluting it in my moisturizer to see if I can get a better result for my skin.
I give this product 1/7
