I love sheet masks

It is an easy way to really deep moisturize my skin and i love how my skin feels after using these masks. I use a lot of different masks and not always with snail mucus. There are a huge variety of masks out there and there will be a whole topic on sheet masks soon.

This sheet masks contains snail mucus or extract if that sounds better, works great for aging and damaged skin.

What is snail slime, mucus or extract?

Snail extract is a mixture of a lot of great things for your skin amongst other there are seven key benefactors to promote healthy, beautiful skin; allantoin, collagen, elastin, glycolic acid, hyaluronic acid, vitamin E and protein.

It is anti-aging and acts as an effective treatment for acne and acne scars without drying out the skin. The topic of snail mucus will be a topic on its own

What is hyaluronic acid?

It is an acid produced by your body and located in-between your skin cells. When you are younger your skin will have a high level of hyaluronic acid, which basically is a molecule that helps the skin to bind water. When the skin has a high level of hyaluronic acid the skin looks even, bright and elastic. The older you get the harder your body will have to produce this acid, the skin gets dryer and won’t be able to bind as much water and wrinkles starts to be visible. By adding hyaluronic acid in your skincare you will help the skin to increase moisture improves the skins barrier and elasticity and also serves as an anti-aging ingredient.

What is allantoin?

Is a natural chemical compound produced by animals (eg snails), plants and bacteria. Usually it is extracted from roots of the comfrey plant .
By adding it to your skincare it helps firming and moisturizing the skin. It also promotes cell replication and healing of wounds, scars.

What is Collagen?

It is a protein that occurs naturally in the body. By adding it to your skincare it won’t affect the production of collagen in the skin but it can be used as water binding agent to keep the skin moisturized.

My thoughts on Skinfood Beauty In A Food Mask Snail

Love, love. My skin feels great and moisturized when I have used this product. The only thing I regret is that I didn’t buy more at the same time. It is a really great mask and if you haven’t tried any snail products earlier this is a great starting product. Sheet masks are really  smooth to work with, the only thing is that you have to be careful taking it out of the packaging. The leftovers from the mask and in the packaging can be used all over your body so don’t throw the god stuff away.

I give this product 7/7
