How to use it

This is a full set so you start with cleanser, then toner, ampoule and last cream. You can add other products as well to incorporate a full routine.

My thoughts on Axis-Y Water Your Skin Hydration Set

Axis-Y Water Your Skin Hydration Set is really a set that seems to be made for me. At least when reading the description. My skin type is super dry and it is really a problem. Before starting with Korean skincare product my skin was a total mess and it actually hurt. So my main goal with Korean skincare products are first of all moisture, then even the skin tone and brightening my skin from hyper pigmentation.

Axis-Y Water Your Skin Hydration Set. All these products are non scented which is super great for me.

I am not going to do a large review since I really cant say much due to the amount of product to try. I want to have at least product that will last a month before saying to much about it. So this will only be a first impression of these products.

Axis-Y Sunday Morning Refreshing Cleansing Foam

This cleanser is to be used a little different then other cleansing foams I am used to. Normally I would add the product in my palms and then add water. Then I would create a foam in my hands and then apply the product to my face. This one is supposed to be used in a different way. You wet you face then apply the product to your face, massage it in.

Then you add more water and the foam creates on your face. I guess you could add a lot of water directly into your palms instead but this is how the instruction states to do it. So that is what I did. This cleanser is really nice and it is not drying at all. The cleanser doesn’t sting in my eyes either so this is a great cleanser for dry skin.

Axis-Y Aqua Boosting Essence Toner

This toner is on the thicker side. I really enjoy these types of toners and I often prefer thicker toners over more liquid once. It does a great job in penetrating my skin, giving me that nice feeling. If you have dry or dehydrated skin this one is really great. I really don’t have more expectations on my toners than that they will make my skin feel nice and moisturized before applying the next steps.

Axis-Y Advanced Aqua Boosting Ampoule

This one is a little tricky for me. I don’t think there is enough product to really try and see why it is behaving weirdly on my skin. I read a few review just to see other peoples experience and everyone seem to really enjoy it. It is supposed to be a really moisturizing ampoule and that is not my experience. I find it to be super sticky and I mean super.

I takes a long time to absorb into my skin. And when it is fully absorbed the stickiness is gone. When I touch my face it feels really smooth and moisturized but my skin doesn’t feel the moisture deep down. I really don’t know why. If it is together with the toner or why my skin behaves like this. And there really isn’t enough of this product to try with other toners and creams so I have to leave my first impression like this. This isn’t the first time my skin acts like this and I really don’t know why yet…

Axis-Y Heartleaf My Type Calming Cream

This cream is sadly also tricky for me. The stickiness comes with this one as well. I have tried applying it directly after the ampoule (as soon as it has absorbed and the stickiness is gone). And I have tried applying it long after that. And still it will not work for me. When I apply it my skin feels super sticky again. And it takes a really long time before that stickiness is gone. I don’t know why, or why it only seem to be me who experience this. I also need to layer this cream to get that hydrating effect that I am looking for and sadly it is still not enough. So not a winning cream for me

Conclusion

Axis-Y Water Your Skin Hydration Set seem to be products a lot of people love. I really don’t know why the Axis-Y Water Your Skin Hydration Set won’t work on my skin. The cleanser and the toner are great. But I don’t know why my main impression of these products as a set is this bad. I feel that my skin is moisturized only on top and not deeper down.

I give this set 2/7
