My thoughts on Cetaphil face moisturizer
I always have issues with my skin during fall and winter. And since I live in Sweden the climate really shifts between seasons and I do need to change my skincare routine accordingly.
The main difference is that my skin need tons on moisture during winter, fall and spring. And a little bit less during summer. So I change up my skincare routine depending on season. Basically I can say that I use heavier moisturizing products during colder seasons and less moisturizing products during summer.
Packaging
This cream comes in a tube but you can also find it in a pump bottle. I do think this version is discontinued but you can still find a version of this one. The new version is called Intensive moisturizing cream. I have read that people do find them different but there is only one ingredient that differs so I guess I have to try that one as well and see what my thoughts are.
Texture and scent
This cream is absolutely on the thicker side. A lot of times thicker moisturizers is more moisturizing but that isn’t always the case. Cetaphil face moisturizer is unscented as well.
I am always looking for a good moisturizer, and if I can find a cheap one I absolutely have to try it.
So buying this one my hopes were set really high since I have read a few reviews before buying it.
I follow the Korean skincare routine which you can read about here. Basically it is applying a lot of different steps regarding skincare products and that has changed my skin from being just a mess to actually being really good. During the colder seasons I do need to add a good moisturizer since that is the second to last step during daytime when I apply sun cream on top of it. But also second to last during my night time routine if I am using a sleeping mask or not.
When using it during daytime it works amazing. No matter what products I put underneath I don’t experience any pilling.
I don’t have super sensitive skin but during winter my skin can get sensitive from time to time.
Since it is a thicker moisturizer it does take a little longer to absorb so just bare that in mind. But it still absorbs really fast for being on the heavier side.
Conclusion
If you are looking for a cheap amazing moisturizer this is absolutely one to try. It is cheap and works well with a lot of different skincare routines so I absolutely recommend it.
I give this product 7/7
