My thoughts on COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence
I have always loved snail product for my skin. I know it sounds really disgusting and it is if you do think about it. But it is a wonderful ingredient and it can be a game changer, especially for dry skin.
My skin type is really dry and during the winter I use all the moisturizing products my skin can take. During the summer it is not as bad. But still dry. Since I live in Sweden the weather can have a huge impact on my skin. And it really does. If you live in a different part of the world that doesn’t experience these changes in seasons as strongly you might not feel a difference between seasons at all.
If you think that snail mucus isn’t for you there is a vegan option with wild jams from the brand Vegreen and they are really amazing as well.

Packaging
I really do like the packaging of COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence. It comes in a frosted plastic bottle with a pump. Just a basic but fully functional packaging. I do prefer using a pump since it is so much easier getting the right amount out. This way you don’t get too much at once and you can always add one pump if needed.
Texture and scent
It is super slimy, just be aware of that. But on the other hand it is snail mucus so would one really expect that it wasn’t? It doesn’t have a scent which is just perfect for me. I really do prefer my skincare to be unscented if I got to choose. Otherwise it is rather light-weight and non oily so it is suited for oilier skin types as well.
It doesn’t absorb super fast into my skin and it takes some time for it to not feeling tacky on the skin. You can always add your next step (that is moisturizer and sunscreen) before it absorbs and the tacky feeling will disappear. I really seldom wait for every step to completely absorb before slapping on the next layer.
I am not super amazed by this serum as I know that a lot of people are. I do find it to be moisturizing but it is not giving me that amazing feeling I am looking for.
But it doesn’t mean I don’t like it. It is more that my expectations were set so high and then I got a little disappointing. This is why it is not good to see other people talking about a product before making your own mind up.
But COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence is a product that works well with other skincare products and I have had no issues with it what so ever. So if you haven’t tried any snail products before this might be a total game changer for you so I really recommend you trying it and making your own mind up about it.
Conclusion
This is a moisturizing serum that contains snail mucus. It does a great job in giving me that hydrating feeling, but I do miss that last umph to my skin. I have really dry skin and snail products are amazing in giving that extra moisturized layer. It is an essence that is perfect for all skin types and it is really affordable as well.
I give this product 6/7
