What are ceramide?

They are naturally occurring skin lipids which are the major structure components of the skins outer layer. They are important for their water-retention capacity but also for barrier repair. This also decreases by age quite rapidly. So, by adding ceramides to your skin routine you can help to restore the skins barrier and keep the skin moisturized. It will basically protect the skin from damage and prevent moisture depletion.

My thought on COSRX Honey Ceramide Full Moisture Cream

This is the one, it truly is. This cream is so moisturizing that it makes my skin feel so soft and happy each morning that I think I will never use another cream ever again. But since I am a blogger I have too, it is just a need I have.

I don’t think COSRX honey ceramide full moisture cream works for everyone. If you have really oily skin, this might not be the one for you, at least not as a day cream.

When I first started using this I used it as I normally would with a moisturizer, adding it on top of another moisturizer (Mizon snail recovery gel cream) but that was actually not the best idea, since it would penetrate completely. So, I use this as my main moisturizer during evening and then I usually add my COSRX rice sleeping mask, and that is a perfect combo for my skin. In the mornings, my skin actually feels moisturized and happy. Not oily, but smooth as a baby’s butt. And for me that is a big deal, since my skin is so dry I usually never get that sensation of a happy skin.

Usually when I wake up in the morning I still can feel that my skin is dry. Sometimes I feel moisturized in the mornings, but then I would have used a good sheet mask the night before. Or a good sleeping pack. But usually even a sleeping pack can’t make my skin feel this great.

If you run I tight schedule in the morning, I would not use it as a day cream because it takes a little time before it penetrates your skin, but since it is a heavy moisturizer, that is too be expected. That is if you going to have time to put on the rest of your face. If you don’t use makeup. Then go ahead and slap it on and you will feel moisturized during the whole day.

Think about what product you add underneath. If you don’t add so many product with moisturizing effects, this might be perfect during the day.

The product comes with a spatula, yeah, so no dipping you fingers in the jar.

If you are not into the Korean routine yet, and just want a good moisturizer, this is it. I promise. You don’t need to follow the whole Korean routine just to be able to enjoy some product.
