My thoughts on Cougar Intense Aftercare Keratin Hair Mask Review
I received this in one of my Goodieboxes and at first glance I really didn’t have any thoughts about it. Hair masks is a product I use often.
My hair is really dry but not damaged. I have a pixie cut due to that I live with chronic pain and really can’t manage long hair. Or any advanced hair cuts. I do color my hair but I always use plant based hair colors like products from Tints Of Nature. Which I feel doesn’t damage my hair that much since I have short hair and cut it often.
When I first received this I was really interested in trying it out and didn’t really know what to expect.
Sometimes when you receive product in these boxes there is something off. Sometimes there is a product that you can only buy as a set. Ex lipstick and moisture product. But you only get one of them in a subscription box. So the product isn’t complete.
Or like this, you get a product that clearly has the wrong labeling. Which makes one think that maybe these products were supposed to be thrown out instead of bought. When I look at the packaging it says hair mask (this is something I still don’t know if it is correct). Have you ever tried a product and started thinking, what is this, hair mask, body lotion or a weird cleanser. That is where I am actually.
The first time I used this I did what was on the packaging. That is apply to wet hair and then massage into a lather and rinse thoroughly. Well no lather happened, and I really didn’t know what to do so I simply rinsed it off since I already added water to my hair.
Usually when applying a hair mask you feel that you hair gets soft and nice. I felt nothing like that. My hair felt more unclean than before using it.
The second time I used it I applied it to my hair and let it sit for about 5 minutes, then the instructions (which I found on the web page) says to emulsify and rinse off. Still after using it like this my hair felt greasy instead of nice. So I simply felt the need to wash my hair again after using it.
That is why I am wondering if the label is completely wrong. I tried it as a body butter, and now that is not it either. So I will not use this product again. Simply it will end up in the bin.
This is such a weird product according to me. I have read a few reviews on it and people in general seem to like it. I’ve mixed it and used it in two different ways and still cant figure out if this is a hair mask or something else. I don’t know if I am doing it wrong or what is up. But I would absolutely not spend the money to buy another tub of the product. (PS it is really expensive)
Have you tried it please comment down below, I am really curious what you think.
I give this product 0/7
