My thoughts on ELEMIS Pro-collagen Marine Cream
I received ELEMIS Pro-collagen Marine Cream in one of my subscription boxes and I really was looking forward in trying it out. I will start by saying that I only received a sample sized product (15ml) so I wont be able to write a full review of it. Instead I do a first impression only.
The packaging of the sample sized product is nice, but nothing fancy. It comes in a regular tube. The full sized product comes in a jar with a spatula instead.
ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Marine Cream is white and really creamy. The cream is scented but nothing overly strong or annoying. And the scent doesn’t linger on my face.
My skin type is really dry, and I mean really dry. During winter time it can be really bad and I need to focus on moisturizing my skin. When I use this cream my skin feels really nice and moisturized. But it is not better than anything else I have ever tried and I wouldn’t go as far as saying that this is the best for my skin at all. As for all the other claims I really can’t say.
I have tried several moisturizers that gives me the same effect in moisture.
The cream is really easy to apply. It goes on smoothly and absorbs really fast into my skin without leaving it greasy. If you have really oily skin I don’t think this will be good for you.
I will not buy the full version of this product simply due to the price of it. I don’t think that there is anything in this product that is worth the money you pay for it. But if you can afford it I would recommend you to try it out and see if it is amazing for your skin. I would instead buy a good anti-ageing serum and add moisturizing products on top.
When ever I read descriptions of a product that sound like this one I usually run the other way. Often when you read claims of a product, it usually states 100% experienced more moisturized skin and bla bla bla. Still there is no comparing to what people used before testing this. If people were using soap and nothing else. Fine, I could accept that claim. But how can you really know. I am working on a post on just that topic since I do feel that we as consumers needs to be more critical to what we read.
I give this product 5*/7
*It would be a higher score but I really don’t get the price of the product.
