My thoughts on Elixir Cosmeceuticals Acticlear Foam Cleanser
I was really happy when I was sent this cleanser (I received three different products). I had never heard of the brand before and because it is a Norwegian brand it made me even more curious.
The Elixir Cosmeceuticals Acticlear Foam Cleanser is an exfoliating foam cleanser (PHA), but it is very gentle to the skin and can be used for dry or sensitive skin types as well.
I have been using this for about six weeks now and among the products I received this is the one that impresses me the least.
The foam cleanser is mostly suited for oily to combined skin types. My skin type is super dry so it really isn’t the perfect product for me, and it is not a product I would buy myself due to my dry skin.
The packaging
The packaging is simple and clean looking. It is white and made of hard plastic and does suit the brand but it does not give any feeling of luxury. It comes in a foam pump, so it is already foaming when your pump it out so that is a big plus. If you know about foam cleansers before. You usually have to foam them up yourself by rubbing your palms together.
I always use the double cleansing method. Which simply means that I first use an oil cleanser and then a foam cleanser. This method has helped my skin a lot and I really do recommend everybody to use it.
The cleanser has a scent but it is a chemical scent and not a perfumed scent, which suites me perfectly. I really have a problem with products being too scented and I feel that every company should start with non-scented or at least mildly scented products instead.
The cleansing foam is really nice, it gets the job done and does what it is supposed to do. There is some residue when washing it off so it can feel like the product is still on your skin which really is a feature I don’t like. Still my skin feels clean after using it.
If your skin type is on the opposite side of mine this might be a really great product for you.
Conclusion
As for me I don’t feel that it is worth what you pay. I do feel that it is really expensive and I usually prefer my skincare to be more affordable. But if you are a person who doesn’t have a budget, or actually can afford it. This might be a great product for you.
As a Swede I am always happy to see that the Nordic countries knows about skincare and the important of great quality products so I am really looking forward to what this brand comes up with.
I give this product 3/7
