This product was sent to me, not for review purpose but simply for informing about the brand. But since I have been trying the product for some time now I thought I would do reviews as well.
Aqua, Gluconolactone, Pentylene glycol, Niacinamide, Glycerine, Diethylexyl carbonate, Ammonium acrylodimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Sodium lactate, Silica, Zinc gluconate, Sodium gluconate, Salicylic acid.
What is Niacinamide
Niacinamide is a form of niacin (vitamin B3). IN skincare Niacinamide act as an anti-inflammatory ingredient. So, it is perfect for uneven skin, acne or rosacea. It also helps with repairing the skins barrier, anti-aging and even out hyperpigmentation.
How to use Elixir Cosmeceuticals Niactil Advanced Pro
This is supposed to be used like a serum or a moisturizer, depending on your skin type. If you have dry skin you can use it as a serum. Add moisturizer and sunscreen on top. Can be used both in your daycare and your evening routine
This is a huge downside to the product. It comes in a silver tube and I really would love the product to come in a pump instead. The gel is rather fluid so whenever I have the tube standing up, there is too much product coming out and my lid becomes filthy. I do think that by changing the packaging to a plastic bottle with a pump instead the product would be easier to use. And since it is a really expensive product I would expect better packaging.
My thoughts on Elixir Cosmeceuticals Niactil Advanced Pro
Before these products were sent to me I had never heard of the brand. It is a Norwegian brand and I got really curious. Simply because it is close to home (Sweden) and I really do look forward in trying their products out.
Elixir cosmeceuticals Niactil Advanced Pro is a Gel like serum/moisturizer that is supposed to help with dry skin, fine lines, reduce uneven skin tone and reduce redness. Before starting using it my hopes was to reduce the redness I have on my nose area and chin, also I was hoping it would help with my hyper pigmentation.
When starting using this it might sting rather bad. I started using this during summer and after being at the beach for a few hours it was not a very pleasant feeling. The sting only last for a few seconds, but it can be quite strong. This can also be the case after you exfoliate your skin or if you are using other acids. I would really recommend you trying this on a different part of your body first so it wont come as a complete surprise.
If you have the same skin as me, that is dry as a desert, this one won’t be enough as a moisturizer but it is fine to add your regular moisturizer on top of this one. If you are new to layering products.
It does not work as a moisturizer for me, but since I do have really dry skin I should use this one as a serum instead. So, I do add two layers of moisture on top. Either moisturizer and sunscreen or moisturizer and sleeping mask.
The gel is semitransparent and absorbs really quickly into my skin and doesn’t leave any stickiness so it makes it a perfect product to use when layering skincare. It is not scented which makes me really happy. I do prefer my products to be without or only mildly scented.
I am really in love with this product. It absolutely does what it is supposed to do and it really made my hyperpigmentation and redness much better and if this is your problems as well it will be a perfect product for you.
Even though I do love this one I will probably not buy it again since the price tag is high and I really can’t afford too expensive skincare. But if money isn’t an issue for you then this is a perfect product for you.
I give this product 7/7
