What is hyaluronic acid
Hyaluronic acid is an acid produced by your body and located in-between your skin cells. When you are younger your skin will have a high level of hyaluronic acid. Basically, one can explain it as a molecule that helps the skin to bind water. When the skin has a high level of hyaluronic acid the skin looks even, bright and elastic. The older you get the harder your body will have to produce this acid; the skin gets dryer and won’t be able to bind as much water and wrinkles will become more visible. By adding hyaluronic acid to your skincare, you will help the skin to increase moisture, improve the skin’s barrier and elasticity
HA also serves as an anti-aging ingredient.
Hyaluronic acid can hold 1000 times its weight in water, that’s just amazing what this little molecule can do.
How to use it
Apply on moist skin and pat in until absorbed. For more information on Hyaluronic acid and why some love it and some hate it, read this post.
My thoughts on Elizavecca Hyaluronic acid
If you haven’t tried hyaluronic acid before (as a serum that is). The ingredient is commonly used in moisturizers and is really an ingredient to look for if you have drier skin types.
The packaging is really nice, it is a glass bottle with a pipette and it is a great package for a serum. I do prefer a plastic pump bottle. Simply because I use a lot of products and my hands get slippery when I am starting on my serums. And glass bottles and slippery hands is not a good combination.
The hyaluronic acid doesn’t have a scent which is YAY for me. I rather have most of my skincare product without scent or just a mild scent.
What does it do
First it is an amazing moisturizing serum, and moisture is what my skin lacks the most. It is also helping with cleaning the pores and calming the skin. It will not shrink any pores (no product can actually do that) but it will help in making them appear smaller by keeping them cleaner.
If you have oilier skin types this can work wonders for you as well. Just use a light moisturizer on top or a lotion or emulsion if your skin doesn’t need more moisture. But a lot of people with oilier skin types have larger pores and problems keeping them clean. This might be a great product for you as well.
This product really does what it is supposed to. It will help in moisturizing your skin and it will help in the cleansing of your pores making them appear smaller.
