My thoughts on Etude house precious mineral BB cream Moist

Really amazing that there are so many shades to choose from, and there is actually a shade called tan, which is really great for a Korean brand.Etude house precious mineral bb cream moist

The smell is the typical Etude house smell, I do prefer my products to be without scent and I do feel that this has a quite strong smell.

The packaging is nice and simple, with just a tube of product.

The finish is dewy but not too dewy, so I do think even people with oily skin could use this. It does have a gray cast (at least the shade sand) and it is not a complete match for my skin tone. I was expecting it to oxidize into fitting me better, but It never did. So, I need to warm it up with some bronzer.

It does set nice on the skin and at first I don’t feel that I have much on my skin, but I have really dry skin so after a short time I do feel the need to mist my face. It will not leave any sticky feeling at all on the skin, it more reminds me of a powdered surface when it is completely dry.

I would not recommend layering this one, the more product the more patchy it became on my skin.

Now to the hard part

Application

This one is really messing with me when I am applying it. I have tried applying it with my hands and that did not look good. Instead it seems very patchy on my skin and parts that I don’t want to be emphasized suddenly became really obvious. Like wrinkles and dry patches. When applying with my hands it just seems to stay on top of my skin and then settle in every line there is. When I blend again, it just takes a few minutes and then it settles in my lines again (smile lines, chin and around nose and eyes, and so it keep on during the day.

I figured I will try with a different application method.

Swatch Sand

Moist sponge

This actually made it more natural looking, but still it is patchy and it seems to show my pores if I don’t blend really well. I am lazy in the morning and want an easy product to apply and this one seem to work against me in every try.

Brush

So let’s try applying with a brush…. Ohhh no, not working at all. I used a kabuki brush and simply it feels that I can buff and buff and buff and nothing seem to happen. Instead I create micro exfoliation on my skin which turns everything into a complete mess. (there will be a post on micro exfoliation later on).

I need to inform you that because I had these problems applying it I exfoliated before, and used different moisturizers to see if that would make a difference. It did not last on my skin, this can be due to the problems I have with applying this nicely on my skin. In the evening the BB cream was almost gone, but clinging for life to my dry patches.

Blended

I can’t say I like this product at all, it really settles in my fine lines and on my dry skin it doesn’t look very natural. At a first glance when applying this I do feel that my skin looks nice, but when I get closer to the mirror I really don’t like the look on my skin.

When applying both the corrector and this one the result was horrible on me. Really patchy and fine lines, dry patches and hair was emphasized. So, if you have some wrinkles, I would not recommend this one for you.

This is only my opinion of this product. I have had problems with BB creams from Etude House before and with the same results as this. So I do think that my skin type is really making this a problem for me.

I give this product 1/7
