My thoughts on Eyeko Eyebrow Gel
I received this in one of my Lookfantastic subscription boxes and I really was happy to see this product inside my box. I’ve actually never tried a colored eyebrow gel before. I have used clear eyebrow gels, but they are more to keep the shape of your brow. This one has a tint to it so I was looking forward in seeing if it made a huge difference.
I have quite good eyebrows (at least according to myself) they are a little sparse maybe and I do color them on a regular basis. Simply because they are too light for the rest of me. I also have lesser hairs at the end of my eyebrows making them look really short.
Since I do color them on a regular basis I only fill them in to make them look fuller. I do prefer my brows to look natural and not painted on my face.
When trying Eyeko Eyebrow Gel out for the first time I didn’t remove the excess product. And this, you really should. The gel it self is really thin in consistency. If you don’t, you get a lot of product on your brows that you probably don’t need (but hey, I am not judging you. If this is a look you prefer, then just go for it).
I don’t feel that this is a products I can use on my brows when I haven’t colored them. This because the product doesn’t fill much in. So what I do is that I color my brows and then fill them in as I normally would. Then I apply the Eyeko eyebrow gel as my last step.
When I was trying to search for different versions of this I could find any and the color doesn’t say on the packaging. But I would say it is light brown. So suited for most people.
The lasting power is really nice. It lasts me the whole day and my brows looks just as I want them.
I like the packaging, it comes in a soft tube with a small mascara wand. So application is easy. It doesn’t crumble over time either.
I do feel that this type of product might be better suited for really bushy eyebrows, simply to keep them in place. And I wouldn’t use this for the coloring part.
I give this product 5/7
