My thoughts on Garnier Skin Active Eye Make Up Remover
I am not a daily user of eye makeup but when I do I really just want an easy way to remove it in the evening. I always use an eye makeup remover first, no matter what type of cleanser I use afterward. Mainly because I want that extra cleaning on my eyes without rubbing them with for example an oil cleanser.
Packaging
The packaging is what I would expect, a sturdy plastic bottle. So nothing to complain about on that part. It is easy to get the right amount out.
Since this is a double layered remover you need to shake well before you use it. Just so the two layers mix and you get both of the layers when you apply it to a cotton pad. A lot of people don’t use this type of product correctly. You need to keep the cotton pad that is soaked in the product onto your eyelids for some time before wiping your makeup off. By doing this you get the product to dissolve the makeup without much rubbing on the eyelids. I usually leave the product on my eyes for about 20 seconds before trying to remove my makeup. Then you wipe your eyes gently.
I did try using Garnier Eye Make Up Remover a long time ago and my thoughts then were that I did not like it very much. This because I used a Japanese mascara and they are actually really hard to get off. No days I use a non waterproof mascara and this eye makeup remover does a great job in removing all of it. I don’t think that it is super amazing, but it do get the job done.
A good thing is that at least it doesn’t sting my eyes😊 and it is not scented. I am really glad that it is unscented. I really don’t get why a product like this would need to be.
After removing it with water there is some oily residue left on my skin. That feeling is removed when applying another cleanser (for the face)
If you are using Korean or Japanese mascaras this will probably not work well for you since they are known to be really amazing regarding lasting power. If you are using other mascaras this might work amazing for you.
Conclusion
I really like this eye makeup remover. I think it does a great job in removing my eye makeup if I just give it that extra time to work. So I really recommend Garnier Eye Make Up Remover.
I give this product 5/7
