My thoughts on Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Moisture Deep Cleansing Oil
I love using cleansing oils. Especially when I have been using makeup or sun cream. If I have I find it much easier to get my face clean by using a cleansing oil to start with. Sometimes, but not always I follow up with a foam cleanser. This depends on how my skin feels and/or if have been using makeup.
Packaging
Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Moisture Deep Cleansing Oil comes in a really nice plastic pump bottle. I really do like the packing of it and I prefer using pump bottles for my oil cleansers as well. I just feel that I get a good amount of product out each time and I know how much I will need.
Texture and scent
Since it is an oil cleanser it is on the thicker side. But it is also on the thicker side comparing it to other oil cleansers. This is nothing bad but it just means that you have to work it in a little bit more. Compared to other lighter cleansing oils. This does not bother me since you need some time to massage your face so that the products you are using is dissolved anywhays. But bare in mind that you might need a little bit more product compared to lighter oil cleansers. It is also an unscented cleanser which is a big win for me.
As for its cleansing abilities it does a really great job. I feel that it removes all my facial makeup with ease. After rinsing my skin feels clean and not dry at all. Which is a really nice feeling if you have dry skin. And it will not leave any oily residue on my skin.
So it might sound like this is a new favorite but it actually isn’t. There is one big negative thing about it and that is that it is super irritable for sensitive eyes.
Not for sensitive eyes
I never use an oil cleanser to remove my makeup, instead I use a regular eye makeup remover first. But I do know that a lot of people uses their oil cleansers to remove mascara with. So of course I had to try as well. And that will never happen again, my eyes really hurt after using it and I felt that it took forever for them to feel normal again. I had to use eye drops as well and still, my eyes did not feel happy. I do have sensitive eyes to start with but I don’t thin I ever experienced a product doing this.
Even if I don’t use it around my eyes, my eyes still gets effected by it. So sadly not a favorite at all.
Conclusion
This is not one of my favorite cleansers. I do find that it does a great job in cleansing my skin, but it affects my eyes in a really negative way. So definitely not a cleanser I will buy again
I give this product 1/7
