How to use Holika Holika Wine Therapy Sleeping Mask

After applying your regular evening skincare routine, you add this mask on top of it. That is on top of your moisturizer. In the morning you wash it off and apply your skincare as you normally would.

My thoughts on Holika Holika Wine Therapy Sleeping Mask

If you haven’t tried any sleeping masks before and don’t know what they are you can read about that here. I am just loving sleeping masks and think that they are the best invention ever. The feeling of going to bed and in the morning my skin feels better than before is just impossible to beat.

This mask is not a mask that I get that amazing feeling from. This due to that it is not claiming to be really moisturizing but more acting towards aging. If your skin is normal or combined you might experience this to be moisturizing as well. But my skin type is dry as a desert, and I really need a lot of moisturizing properties to get that feeling on my skin.

The packaging

The packaging of Holika Holika Wine Therapy Sleeping Mask is just perfect. It is shaped like a wine barrel and really, I have nothing to complain about. It also comes with a spatula, which is a big win as well. So, do not dip your fingers in it. Bacteria will transfer from your fingers to the mask. And no one needs that.

The mask is pink and gel like, but with a bouncy effect. I just love to poke my finger in it (not in the jar but in my hand). It is just weirdly satisfying.

The smell off Holika Holika Wine Therapy Sleeping Mask is amazing. I just love the smell of it and usually that is not the case with me. I prefer my skincare to have no to very little scents. But this really doesn’t bother me.

The mask does contain alcohol. If you are sensitive to alcohol this might not be a good mask for you. I am usually very sensitive to alcohol. This might be the reason I don’t experience any moisturizing properties with this mask.

When applying it is feels really cool on my skin and if you leave it in the refrigerator that cooling sensation is amazing. It absorbs really quick into my skin and doesn’t leave any sticky feeling on my skin. some sleeping masks takes a really long time to absorb and leave a stickiness on the skin which will smear onto your pillow case. Since this one contains alcohol it helps the absorption. I rather prefer it to be without alcohol and change my pillowcase often instead. But I don’t always get what I want😊.

In the morning my skin doesn’t feel very moisturizing but it does feel calmer. As for the aging effect it is impossible to say. Simply time will tell.

I give this product 5/7
