My thoughts on Illamasqua Beyond Powder Highlighter
I received this in one of my subscription boxes and I am really excited to try it out. I haven’t tried anything from the brand Illamasqua before, simply due to the price of their products. There is actually very seldom I think that a really expensive product is worth the money you pay for it. I do think there are cheaper options for you out there to almost every product I try that is on the more expensive side.
I did receive a mini size of this one and the color OMG suits me perfectly. Since I do a lot of reviews and try a lot of different products out I rarely have the time to finish a product completely. And I do have a problem throwing products out if they aren’t bad. By receiving smaller products I at least have the chance to finish them up.
The packaging
Illamasqua Beyond Powder Highlighter comes in a simple black packaging that reminds some what of the full sized product. I really like the full sized product packaging though.
The color OMG is a champagne color and I am really happy that I got that color since I think it is the one that is prettiest of them all.
The highlighter is easy to apply, and you only need a tiny amount for a really nice glow. If you need more it is easy to build up.
I have tried applying it with both my fingers and a brush and it works really well with both methods. The lasting power is great as well. It lasts me the whole day without retouching.
I seldom use powder on my my skin since I have really dry skin. But if I let my BB cream or foundation set on its own there is no problem adding this on top of my skin without using powder first. It doesn’t look patchy at all.
Whenever I use highlighters I only use a tiny amount since I am only looking for a natural result.
I really love this highlighter. I do find it to be very pricy and I would not buy the full sized product. But only due to that I do have other highlighters I like as well. But if you are willing to pay the price it is well worth the money.
