Key Features and Ingredients

  • Vitamin C (ascorbic acid): The Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop has a 5% concentration of pure Vitamin C (ascorbic acid). Evens the skin tone and lightens dark spots.
  • Centella asiatica extract: skin barrier strengthening, helps calm the skin and reduce irritation. Great for healing and protecting the skin barrier.

How to use and apply it

When it comes to vitamin C products you really need to start out slowly. Start by using it 2 times a week and then increase slowly by adding one day at at time. This is more important if you have sensitive skin. If you still aren’t sure and want to be even more gentle to your skin, you can add a few drops into your moisturizer before applying it to the skin.
Always when it comes to brightening products you need to use sunscreen after using it. Your skin will be really sensitive and needs all of its protection.
Another important rule is to never use any other vitamin C products together with this one. This includes AHA’s, BHA’s and retinols. Instead use them on different days.
As for its application it is used on cleansed and toned face. 2-3 drops and spread gently over your skin, then apply the rest of your skincare routine.

My thoughts on Dear Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop

Packaging

This serum comes in a glass bottle with a pipette. It is a simple and clean packaging and really what to expect.

Application and texture

This serum is lightweight but has a slightly oily texture. As soon as I apply it to my skin it feels oily but it absorbs really fast without leaving it oily or sticky. It is common that Vitamin C serums oxidizes rather fast and turns yellow. If it does it is still fine to use. This vitamin C serum is more shelf stable then a lot of others, so I never did experience this issue with it. I store mine in a cool and dark place which makes it lasts longer.

Performance and results

I have been using brightening products for a long time and it is a category of products that is a staple of mine. When comparing different vitamin C serums this is by far the nicest one I’ve tried. I cant say that I see a huge difference (but that might be that I reached the final level of what can be done to already existing spots). I use it mainly to lighten dark spots on my skin. But I still managed to see a little bit of difference.

What to expect and when to expect it

If your expectations are way up there, with thoughts that your skin will be totally even and you will have no dark spots or acne scars will need to think again. It will not work as a filter on your skin. Instead you need to look at it as a long term product.
The realistic results to expect are faded dark spot and faded acne scars. You might also experience softer and smoother skin (depending on the rest of your skincare routine).

Vitamin C serums in general can be a little bit drying on the skin. My skin type is super desert dry skin and I had no issues with it what so ever. If you have finished the whole bottle and still doesn’t notice any difference on your skin it is time to start looking for another product instead.
It’s important to note that visible results will take time, especially when it comes to lightening pigmentation and dark spots.

Conclusion

The Dear Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop is an excellent choice if you are looking for a gentle, effective introduction to Vitamin C. Its lightweight, easy to use and works with every skin type including sensitive and acne prone.

It will not provide an overnight result but when used regularly over time you will get a more even looking skin. Especially when looking on hyperpigmentation, dark spots and acne scars.

If you’re looking for a vitamin C serum that’s effective but gentle, this one is definitely worth considering.

I give this product 6/7
