My thoughts on Lavinde Volume and curl beyond mascara
I received this in one of my subscription boxes from Goodiebox.
Lavinde is a Danish brand and it is not a brand I know very well. I do think this is the first time I try any of their products. This is one reasons why I love subscription boxes. I always get to try new brands and products I might not try other wise.
When looking at their web page at Lavinde It says that this mascara has won Global beauty awards and Danish beauty awards. So then of course my hopes are set high and hoping I will find a new amazing product.
The packaging is really nice and it feels like a quality packaging. That is sturdy and just give me the feeling of a nice product.
The brush is a plastic brush with hard bristles. I normally have a harder time using these brushes then the more bristle like brushes. But that is just me, not that the product is harder to use this way. I never seem to be happy when trying products with a hard brush. I do guess most of them are of plastic even the once that have more bristle like brushes. But I do think you get what I am trying to say here.
I was curious to see it this one came in more colors than black, it it didn’t. At least not at their web page. That doesn’t bother me though, since I always use black mascara.
Lavinde Volume and curl beyond mascara contains a eyelash serum as well which is supposed to make your eyelashes longer and grow faster.
When I apply this mascara I do find it hard to get an even application. My eyelashes seems to clump together instead of being separated. So after applying it I need to finish with a eyelash brush to get my eyelashes looking nice.
Usually when I apply mascara I wipe of the wand first before applying it to my lashes. I feel that the application gets smoother without a huge amount of product on the brush. And I rather apply one more layer to build up my lash instead of getting too much product from the beginning. When trying the Lavinde Volume and curl beyond mascara out I tried both wiping it and not wiping it. But i still got an uneven clumpy application. I still don’t know if it is me and my normal problem with these brushes or if it is the mascara.
Have you tried it and if so, what was your experience?
After a days use it has crumbled underneath my eyes and this is not a look I go for. I do find it to be a big no no when it comes to mascara. If it crumbles I will stay away.
So sadly, even though this seems to be an award winning products it didn’t sit right with me.
I give this product 2/7
Where to get it
