Description

True Match Hyaluronic Tinted Serum is the first tinted serum with 1 percent hyaluronic acid. With this tinted serum skin instantly looks brighter, even and feels hydrated for a natural, radiant finish. Luminous mineral pigments provide sheer, lightweight coverage for a brightened complexion while hyaluronic acid gives skin a hydrated feel and smooths over time.

My thoughts on Loreal Paris True Match Nude Plumping Tinted Serum

This is one of those product I read so much about before I decided to try it for myself.

I did read a few reviews before and people seemed to really love this one. Usually when it comes to hyped up products my skin feels the opposite and since this one contained alcohol I was absolutely skeptic.

When it comes to foundations or BB creams I always go for products that doesn’t have high coverage and gives some kind of moisture to my skin. I have really dry skin and I mean so dry that it can be painful and during winter time I hate wearing makeup. Mainly because my skin feels really pissed off if I do. But after hearing a lot about it, and that it seamed to be working amazingly for dry skin as well (even though it contains alcohol) I just had to try it out for my self hoping to have found a holy grail product.

Packaging

Well this is the worst packaging this type of product could ever have. It comes in a glass bottle with a pipette. The problem isn’t the packaging itself but the mess it makes when moving the pipette up and down in the packaging. And if one were supposed to travel with it I can only imagine what mess it would make. It would be so easy to change the packaging into a nice pump bottle instead and people wouldn’t be so pissed off about it.

Texture, coverage and is it buildable?

It is a super lightweight product. It is really liquid and have shimmer in it. I really don’t get why. But I guess that is what a lot of people thinks gives your skin the glowy look. But that is not the case according to me at least. Glowy skin comes from good skincare and skin looking moisturized and not from added shimmer.

The coverage is light but it is absolutely buildable. I prefer the light coverage since what I look for in foundation or BB creams is to even out the skin not cover it up. But according to many others you can add a couple of layers on top to build that cover up really nicely.

How does it work for me

My hopes were so high for this one and I so wanted to really love it. But since my skin is really dry the amount of alcohol in it just ruins everything for me. As soon as I shake the bottle (you absolutely have to) and open it up the alcohol scent is overwhelming. I do have a sensitive nose but I think it absolutely stinks.

I do know that a lot of people loves when a foundation or BB cream is really fast absorbing. But this one absorbs so fast into my skin that it is actually difficult getting it to look nice on me. If I use an oil primer I have a little longer time to fix it. This is due to that the product contains a lot of alcohol which helps the product to penetrate the skin. But for me this just messes everything up.

When looking at Loreal Paris True Match Nude Plumping Tinted Serum also people with dry skin said it was amazing and felt so hydrating. I totally disagree. It feels super dry on my skin and if I haven’t exfoliated it will cling on to every dry patch I have. I have stopped using this during the cold months and will start using it in the summer instead to see how my skin likes it then.

Conclusion

If you are searching for a light coverage product and don’t suffer from super dry skin this might be amazing for you. For me it is not a winner but I do notice that areas were my skin isn’t super dry it looks amazing. Hopefully the summer will be warm and nice and my skin will not be as dry (it changes a lot during seasons) so I can use these. Because I really would love to see how they look and if I can manage this during summer time.

I give this product 3/7
