My thoughts on Missha Super Aqua Cell Renew Snail Sleeping Mask
I am a total sucker for sleeping packs/mask. I feel that they are such an easy complement to my dry skin. During winter time I use sleeping masks every other day, since my skin is so dry. I do love using sheet masks as well, but this is so simple, and adds that bit of extra to my skin.
I really love this sleeping masks from Missha. When I wake up in the morning my skin feels soft, hydrated and it looks more even (I have problems with redness).
The packaging is simple and it is the type of packaging I prefer over tubes since it is more hygienic and I don’t need to dip my fingers in any of my product I am not using. The tube is soft and it is easy to get the product out of the tube.
The product is scented, but it isn’t a scent that bothers me. it almost smells like cucumbers, fresh and nice. Usually I want my products to be unscented, but this one is fine since the smell is more towards freshness.
This cream is thick and white, but it is still easy to apply and you only need a small amount for the face.
It will take a long time for this to penetrate if you use a full routine underneath. I use a lot of moisturizing products since my skin is super dry which makes it harder for it to penetrate. If you use lesser products or products that aren’t that heavy, this might penetrate easily for you.
Be sure to wash it off in the morning, if I keep this too long on my skin it gives me breakouts. It contains two fragrances that might be the reason for the reaction, see the CosDNA link
It is not my favorite sleeping mask but it is a great mask and I really do recommend it.
As for the claims
- Improves Skin Damage; I can’t say so much about that claim, I don’t have scars from acne or much damage on my skin except from hyper pigmentation and sun damages, but I did not see any effect on those parts.
- Hydration Synergy Effect; yes it does. My skin feels really nice and moisturized after using this.
- Skin Stress Relief: Yes, my skin does feel more smooth and relaxed (even) after using this.
