My thoughts on MIZON Snail Recovery Gel Cream
I am a sucker for snail products. I just love them and think they are so great for my skin. That doesn’t mean that I think they are enough for my skin. If you have oily skin or more normal skin type this might be an amazing moisturizer for you. But I have really dry skin all year around and it is never enough. But I do love adding snail product in my skincare routine and this product is a great way to do so.
The Mizon snail recovery gel cream was one of my first Korean skincare products and it is still a product I want to have around.
Packaging
The packaging is nothing fancy, it is a simple tube and that is really all you need. I do prefer simple packaging if it means keeping the price lower.
As for usage this is a multi type of cream that you can actually use for anything. If you keep it in you fridge is amazing on sun burned skin. Or you can just keep it there anyway for a cooling sensation when applying it. I usually use this in the same way I would use aloe vera gel (but I would not use it in my hair).
If I look upon this as only a moisturizer it isn’t enough for my skin during winter. During summer it is working better on my skin. So if this is not an amazing moisturizer why do I still love using it. Well I use it as a first moisturizer which simply means that I apply another moisturizer on top of this just for the benefits of snail mucus. When I add a second moisturizer it works amazing for dry skin as well.
The formula is gel like and clear in color. Absorbs really fast into my skin without leaving it feeling sticky. Instead my skin feels really smooth and nice.
There is no added scent to it but it does smell a little chemical. The chemical scent is not strong and it doesn’t linger on my skin.
Conclusion
If you are looking for a allround cream this is an amazing choice. It is a cream you can use for a lot of different things. It is not super moisturizing for really dry skin but by adding another moisturizer on top it works great.
I give this product 7/7
