My thoughts on Naobay detox oxygen light cream
I received this in one of my Lookfantastic boxes and normally when I buy moisturizers my main goal is moisture. My skin type is really dry and this is normally not the version I would have bought. Simply because it is not for my skin type.
I have tried a few products from Naobay before and I really enjoyed it so any how I wanted to try it out. Not for moisturizing purposes (as it is clearly not a match) but for just testing the cream out.
Packaging
This cream normally comes in a jar with a wooden cap and I really can’t say why this one comes in a tube. But anyhow I really like their packaging. It just screams We care about the nature to me. Why, well there is a wooden cap there. And you know, wood, nature. Yep I am that type of person.
But back to packaging. I do prefer my moisturizers to come in a tube, and that is only due to hygienic reasons. I do use a spatula whenever I dip into a jar, but I don’t clean my spatula after every use so it is still not super hygienic. I know that a lot of people prefer jars over tubes because you are more in control over the amount you get. So I guess it is just a matter of choice.
Naobay detox oxygen light cream is really lightweight. It is a white cream and has a scent that I really cant explain more than a little sweet but not overly sweet. My nose is usually complaining when stuff smells too much but my nose told me this was ok. So I am going with that.
This moisturizer absorbs really well into my skin and there is nothing negative to say at all. It works well with the rest of my skincare routine as well.
As for its moisturizing properties. Well, not for my skin type. As I said before I have really dry skin and this version of this product it not perfectly suited for my skin type. I would recommend it for normal skin types in stead.
So what can one do when you have a product that you like but it is not (as in this case for me) super moisturizing? What I do is that I simply add another moisturizer on top or underneath. It can be a snail cream or just another type. Just let the first one set and than you can add another moisturizer as well. I do this a lot when a products simply isn’t perfect on its own. Another thing is just adding a sleeping mask (in the evening that is) on top of it.
Conclusion
This is not a match for my skin type but it is a really nice moisturizer and if you have a more normal skin type this might be perfect for you.
I give this product 4/7
