My thought on Nature Republic Collagen BB Cream
I did a first impression on this one some time ago, and after that i did buy the full sized product because I was impressed by it. This BB cream only comes in three shades so if you are medium toned (for a Scandinavian) you need to go for the shade 02.
After getting the full sized product my thoughts hasn’t changed. I still feel that this is an amazing product and it is a great BB cream.
The packaging is the type of packaging I prefer. it is a tube with a pump which is just the perfect packaging. I do like a regular tube as well.
When first applying it, it does look a little grey (a common thing with Korean BB creams) after a little while it will oxidize. During summer time I have to blend it out with a darker shade. I usually blend with Missha perfect cover BB cream in nr 31 (which is way too dark for me so I only use to add warmth to my colder shades).
In the wintertime I usually add a drop of oil (argan, almond or rosehip). This makes the product work even better for my dry skin, and blends for a more natural result. If you have oilier skin types you will just have to try out how this method works for you. But be sure to use a facial oil that penetrates your skin.
The finish is semi dewy but by adding some powder on top you get a complete matte finish. The cover is medium, but you can always layer it if you feel that you need more.
As I said before I do have dry skin and I do need to mist my face during the evening if I still want to feel moisturized. This is something I usually do no matter what bb cream I use.
The BB cream settles quite fast and doesn’t leave any sticky feeling. After it has completely set (if you don’t powder your face) you are perfectly fine to use powder blush or highlighter without it becoming patchy.
For application I always go back to using my hands. I do feel that it blends so easy with the warmth from my hands instead of using a brush, puff or sponge. But I sometimes go over it with as a last step.
I give this product 5/7
