My thoughts on Polaar sun lotion 50+
I received a sample size (20 ml) of Polaar sun lotion in one of my subscription boxes and it was really perfect timing since I was in need of a new sun lotion to try.
have not tried the brand before so I was really looking forward in trying this one out.
Since I only received a sample size of this I can’t do a in depth review. But since the claims of the products aren’t in need of long term testing. I felt I could do a review on it anyway.
I live in Sweden and I wanted to try this one out when the sun was really strong (which was difficult this year). But we had a few weeks with really nice weather (around 27-30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit)). So I am not complaining too much. My house is located just by a nice lake so I spend the most of the warm days in the water with my kids. That means that this sun lotion is tested out in a lot of water and in a lot of sun.
The sun lotion says that it is long lasting, so I went really far before I reapplied it. After a whole day at the beach and so many times in the water. I only reapplied it once and I didn’t burn at all.
I do feel that that is way too little but I really wanted to see how it would act on my skin.
The packaging
The packaging is really nice and simple. It comes in a regular tube and there is not much to say about it.
The sun lotion is really lightweight and is not scented which suits me perfectly.
When I apply the Polaar sun lotion it applies really easy and I don’t need force to get it to absorb into my skin.
I really hate when I need to massage my skin for a long time just to get the sun lotion to absorb. It feels more like exercise then applying lotion. And since I live with chronic pain this is a really big thing for me.
After application my skin feels really nice and smooth. It doesn’t feel like I am wearing any sun lotion which is a bit scary but in a positive way.
I really like it when my skin doesn’t feel oily or sticky after applying sun lotion and this one feels amazing on my skin. Without leaving any white cast at all.
There really only is one negative thing about this sun lotion and that is the prize. I find it super expensive and there are other sun lotions that are great but for a much smaller prize and I do tend to prefer those. But if you have a lot of money to spend and wants a really nice sun lotion I would definitely recommend this one.
I give this product 6/7
