Pyunkang Yul is one of those brands where some product I’ve tried has quickly become a new favorite. Whilst others has become a total fail. So I am really prepared for this to go either way.

Key Ingredients and Formulation
Pyunkang Yul has built a reputation on creating skincare products that avoid harsh chemicals, and the Calming Moisture Repair Balm is no exception. Its formula has a lot of ingredients that focus on calming, repairing, and moisturizing properties.
Centella Asiatica: This beloved ingredient is known for its anti-inflammatory properties, which help soothe redness, irritation, and breakouts. It promotes healing and strengthens the skin barrier.
Ceramide NP: Ceramides are amazing for maintaining the skin’s natural moisture barrier.
Tea Tree Leaf Extract: Tea tree is widely recognized for its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory benefits, making it a really good ingredient for those prone to acne.
Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5): Is a humectant that attracts moisture to the skin while enhancing its ability to repair itself.
My thoughts on Pyunkang Yul Calming Moisture Repair Balm
Packaging
The Pyunkang Yul Calming Moisture Repair Balm comes in a tub instead of a tube or a pump bottle. I cant say that I really enjoy the packaging but since the cream is thicker in consistency I do find it to be the best type of packaging for the product. It did not come with a spatula which was a little bit surprising, because of hygienic reasons.
Texture scent and application
The texture of the Pyunkang Yul Calming Moisture Repair Balm is thick but it doesn’t feel greasy on the skin. If you have oilier skin types you might only use this as night since it might be too heavy for you during the day.
It absorbs rather quick leaving my skin soft and hydrated. I am happy to say that it is not scented as well, which is a big plus for me.
When I first received this I felt that 30 ml was nothing. It looked so small and I thought that I was going to finish it up really quickly. But you actually don’t need much products so it will last you longer than it looks. I don’t use this as a day moisturizer during the summer because it is simply too much during the day. I have really dry skin and that is a big thing for me to be saying. Normally that never happens. But during the colder seasons (I live in Sweden) my skin can get enough moisture and even this one isn’t enough on its own.
Performance
Now, the most important part: how does it perform? After testing it for several weeks, the Pyunkang Yul Calming Moisture Repair Balm has become a new favorite of mine.
It is simply amazing when it comes to moisturizing my skin. The main reason I bought this is due to that my skin is really dry and not for its calming effects. So I can say that it is a really hydrating cream that works well with all my other skincare products as well as makeup, without pilling or dissolving of my foundation.
Pros and Cons
Pros:
Ideal for all skin types depending on what you struggle with. Dry skin, sensitive skin or acne prone skin.
Free from Irritants: With no artificial fragrances, parabens, or harmful chemicals.
Despite of its thickness it feels light on the skin, making it perfect for both daytime and nighttime use (depending on skin type). Good price for what you get.
Cons:
Might be too light for really dry skin types, especially during winter time.
No spatula included.
Conclusion
The Pyunkang Yul Calming Moisture Repair Balm is a really nice moisturizer. It has calming, hydrating, and healing properties which makes it suitable for most skin types. Even thought it isn’t enough for my super dry skin during winter it is an amazing moisturizer and I will just add more moisturizing layers into my skincare routine. If you have sensitive skin, are prone to irritation, acne, or are looking for a balm to help repair and protect your skin’s barrier, this product is well worth a try.
I give this product 7/7
