My thoughts on Real barrier intense moisture cream
I bought this moisturizer when my skin was starting to become really dry and I just wanted something to help with that feeling on my skin. I read some reviews and got some tips on Instagram so I figured this might be an amazing products for me.
The Real barrier intense moisture cream comes in a plastic jar with a spatula, I do prefer tubes or pump packaging due to hygienic reasons but if one you the spatula and not your fingers this is not a problem. But don’t forget to wash the spatula as well.
It is scented, but it smells really fresh. When looking at the ingredients it contains lavendel and citrus and that is where the scent comes from. When a product is scented like this it really works for me. Usuually I am so negative towards scents in skincare but when it smells fresh I have no problems at all.
The cream is white in color and really lightweight. It absorbs really fast into my skin and doesn’t leave any sticky feeling behind.
I so wanted to love this product but simply it doesn’t do much for my skin at all. It doesn’t act moisturizing at all. On me I would say it acts more like an emulsion rather than a moisturizer. An emulsion is like a lightweight moisturizer. After using it I would often need to add an extra moisturizer or a sleeping masks over it. If I use only this product my skin feels really tight and uncomfortable after a few hours and I need to use a face mist to get some relief.
I do feel that my experience with this product is probably due to my skin type and it might work wonders on a skin that isnt as dry as mine. I usually have a problem with moisturizers not being hydrating enough. I have found a few amazing moisturizers over the years but I simply cant stick to one or my blog wouldn’t have so much to write about:-)
I give this product 1/7
