My thoughts on SCINIC The Simple Light Cleansing Oil
I am a sucker for oil cleansers. I just love them and think that they are the perfect cleansers. Normally I do double cleanse when I have been using makeup since I do feel that I need to.
Scinic is a brand that I have been using products from before. I just love their matrix snail cream. So I was really excited to try this one out.
Scinic The Simple Light Cleansing Oil comes in a hard plastic pump bottle, which is the kind of packaging this type of product normally comes in.
When applying this cleansing oil it feels really thick on my skin and the first thing that hits me is the scent of alcohol. I don’t think I have ever tried an oil cleanser containing alcohol. That just feels wrong to me and I really didn’t bother to check either. But the scent is really overwhelming and since the product is unscented (meaning added scent) it is just really strong and it is a big No no for me.
As for its ability as a cleanser it is doing a good job. It does a great job in removing my makeup. The cleanser is a thicker oil cleanser so if you wear a lot of makeup you might need three pumps to be able to massage it well.
It is easy to remove it but it will leave a little bit of residue behind. My skin feels really nice and clean after using it. But it doesn’t give that moisturizing effect that a lot of other oil cleanser do. And that is probably due to the alcohol in it. Still it doesn’t feel drying on my skin either.
It will not sting my eyes or blur my vision (which is quite common for oil cleansers).
This oil cleanser smells really strong of alcohol. It is a really not a good thing for me. As for its job as a cleanser it does a great job. So if your skin and nose likes alcohol I would definitely give it a try
I give this product 2/7
