When a friend of mine went to Japan this is one of the product I got her to buy for me. I have heard so many great things about it and my hopes were high from the beginning. I don’t think I have seen one negative review so far.

My thoughts on Shiseido Senka perfect whip foam
This is a cleanser from the high-end brand Shishido but it doesn’t cost nearly as much as a lot of their other product. In Sweden the brand is super expensive and would be impossible for my budgets
The packaging is as a regular foam cleanser. It comes in a soft plastic tube. Simple and easy to use. There are foam cleansers that comes in a pump form. Which often means that they foam up directly when leaving the packaging. Shiseido Senka perfect whip foam you have to work with making the foam yourself.
The cleanser is really mild but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t work. It does a great job in removing my makeup. I always double cleanse, which means I first cleanse with an oil cleanser and use a foam cleanser as my second cleanser. If you don’t, you can still use this one as your one and only cleanser.
It will not leave your skin with that squeaky-clean feeling which can be really annoying for dry and sensitive skin types.
Shiseido Senka perfect whip foam creates a really soft lather and feels very smooth and soft on my skin. it doesn’t sting my eyes either which is a big win for any product.
It is scented, but nothing overwhelming though. Usually I prefer all my products to be unscented but they rarely are. The scent is still OK and it doesn’t make me not wanting to use the product.
There is one big downside to this cleanser and that is that its pH is really high. It is around 8 which is really not recommended in skin care. Not over 5 would be preferable. If your skin is sensitive to pH stay away from this one. Usually skin types that should avoid high pH are dry skin types, sensitive skin types and acne prone skin types. This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try it thought. Every skin type is different and we react on different ingredients.
I will not by it again (due to the pH) but I simply had to try it out. It did work quite well on my skin type though. I did have some problems with my skin being really dry (winter time) but I can’t say that it was truly this product at all.
I give this product 4/7
