How to use it
Apply appropriate amount on face and pat gently with both palms for absorption. Use it as the last step of skincare routine.
My thoughts on SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Soothing Cream
When I first looked at this moisturizer I was struggling between buying a big tube or a small one. Since I know myself I went for the smaller size. Mainly because I know I always struggle to find a moisturizer that is enough for my skin and this part of my skincare routine is super important. I have tried one product from this brand before and is really excited to try this one out as well.
My skin type is super dry and the colder it gets outside the more moisture I need.
Packaging
SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Soothing Cream comes in a regular tube packaging. I do prefer these types of packaging and not jars since I find it way more hygienic to use a tube or a pump.
The texture is creamy but gel like, it is yellow in color and has some scent to it. The scent is not super strong so it really doesn’t bother me.
As for its moisturizing abilities I would say not so much. But remember I do have super dry skin. If you are more normal or oily in your skin this might be a perfect match. Since it is a lightweight moisturizer one might think that I wouldn’t work. But one of my favorite moisturizers is actually really lightweight and still works wonders on my skin. So I will never judge.
The cream does absorbs rather fast into my skin but if I layer it (which I often do if I need more moisture) it becomes a little sticky
So what can one do if you have a moisturizer that really isn’t enough but you still want to use. Well the simple answer is to layer it. What I do is that I add a richer moisturizer on top of this one after it is absorbed. Using like an emulsion instead.
SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Soothing Cream works well when layering and doesn’t act weird with makeup either.
As for its ability to strengthen the skins barrier I really can’t say.
Conclusion
This is a nice moisturizer but not super moisturizing if you have really dry skin. I do recommend trying it but try the smaller size first just in case you are not happy with it.
