My thoughts on Skinchemist rose quartz youth defense lip plump

I received this in one of my Glossyboxes and it is really not a product I would have chosen.

I have quite full lips to begin with so I have never thought of getting this type of product at all.

Skinchemist rose quartz youth defense lip plump has a really strong smell and taste of peppermint. And since it is a plumping product it all makes sense. But I really can’t say that I appreciate that the scent and taste linger for so long on my lips.

The plump comes in a regular tube with a doe foot applicator. And it is just this kind of packaging I would expect for this type of product. I do find it to be a little difficult getting the product out of the packaging and I need to dip the wand several times to get a good amount. It is like the product is clinging to the tube.

As for the plumping effect, I really didn’t notice any difference.

As for acting like a lip balm. Well as for the ingredients they really don’t do anything for you lips. For example, Paraffinum Liquidum will add some shine to your lips but that is it. If you are a person that loves using Vaseline, this is a product for you. If you are like me, staying away from those types of products this is not for you.

After applying it to my lips I feel the tingle for quite some time, but the results are lacking.

If you would use this as a gloss I would totally get it. It does give an amazing shine but that is about it, but so does a regular lip gloss, and it is cheaper. And since the product claims to be a plumping product without the plumping results (for me) I don’t see a reason for spending the money.

I give this product 1/7
