My thoughts on The ordinary high spreadability fluid primer
This is a silicone based products so if you are staying away from silicone this is not for you.
I usually stay away from silicone but I felt I really wanted to test this product out and see what my thoughts are on it as a primer. There will be a post on silicone later on (I am working on it).
The ordinary high spreadability fluid primer comes in a glass jar with a pipette. I feel that this packaging really sucks for this type of product and I would prefer a pump instead. The pipette gets messy and the fluid is rather thick. I feel that when I have used the primer and want to stick the pipette back into the bottle it is easy to get a lot of product around the cap and it simply gets messy. When ever I use skincare and makeup clean products is really important.
I have used other products from the brand and I do think that the packaging works for most of them. But when it comes to thicker products I think it is a miss.
When applying this primer I use my fingers and I only use a small amount. It spreads really easily and you can feel the silicone in it. It has no scent which is a big win for me. I am usually very sensitive to smells, not my skin, but my nose.
After applying the primer my skin feels really smooth, as all silicone does to the skin. I have tried this primer out with all different types of skincare and with different BB creams and my conclusion is that I am not too excited about it.
I have dry skin and normally I will use a primer for blending, hydrating and to make my areas around my nose and under eyes look more smooth.
After trying The ordinary high spreadibiltiy fluid primer for some time the only thing I think it really helps with is making my skin looks smoother. It does not work as an hydrating primer for my skin. But my skin is really dry so I think there are not many primers that can help with that. Nor does it help with the lasting power of my foundation or BB cream. It does help in making my makeup look smoother so that is the only reason I am using it.
It is not a primer I will buy again though. Mainly due to that it contain silicone and there are so many primers I want to try.
I give this product 3/7
