Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Gel, Carbomer, Tromethamine, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Fragrance
On Tonymoly’s webpage the ingredient list differs a lot and there says it contains alcohol. I checked the back on my tube and the ingredients above is correct. I don’t know if they have changed the product or not but according to TM’s site there is a lot more ingredients including alcohol in it.
But my review is for the ingredients above, and hopefully they haven’t changed the formula.
My thoughts on TONYMOLY Aloe Chok Chok Soothing Gel
I am addicted to aloe vera and have been ever since I was a student I Kenya and first got to appreciate the effect of aloe on sun burned skin.
TONYMOLY Aloe Chok Chok Soothing Gel comes in a tube. The tube is made of rather soft plastic so it is easy to drop it if you are not prepared. (Maybe sounds weird to write about this but still I feel that it actually matters😊). I like the packaging, don’t get me wrong. I prefer a tube as a packaging for hygienic reasons and since it is soft it is easy to get everything out of the packaging without cutting it in half.
The aloe vera gel is scented but it smells like a mix of melon and cucumber and don’t bother me at all. I really love this type of smells in skincare. The fresh that is. Sweet scents really are a no no for me so this fit right into my preferred type of smell.
TONYMOLY Aloe Chok Chok Soothing Gel doesn’t disappoint me at all. It is easy to apply, cools the skin when applied and if you keep it in the refrigerator it does an even more amazing job in cooling sunburnedd skin. I am super happy that it doesn’t contain alcohol. Alcohol is often used in skincare to make the absorption of the product faster. This is not a problem for this aloe vera gel. It absorbs really quick and doesn’t leave any sticky feeling on my skin afterwards.
The consistency is gel like but a little more liquid than Nature republic’s version.
Aloe can be used in so many ways and I do think that everyone should keep it at home. I have wrote a post on 9 different ways I use aloe and you can read about that here..
I give this product 7/7
