My thoughts on Urtekram Body Lotion aloe vera
Urtekram is a Danish brand and I always love trying products from different countries. Urtekram is a quite big brand in my country Sweden, but I realize it might not be very famous in other parts of the world. Basically, it is a brand that produces organic products (link to brand Urtekram)
I have super dry skin and during the winter I need to add a lot of moisture to my skin. I usually go back to the same products over and over again but I still want to see if I can find something new to try and that really works on my skin.
Usually I go for pure Aloe vera gel or simply coconut oil.
When first buying this one I had my hopes high, since it is aloe vera in it I really did expect it to work great on my skin. Sadly, it didn’t. Firs of all it takes a long time to apply it to my skin. It takes some time to get it to absorb into my skin and I live with chronic pain and this is simply impossible for me to manage. I end up applying it and rubbing it in somewhat, then I let it absorb on its own. Which means running around half dressed for some time before the products is absorbed.
The body lotion does not leave any stickiness to my skin even though it takes some rubbing to get it to penetrate. I really can’t say that it does a good job. If you have normal skin and just needs a little moisture this might work great for you. But since I have really dry skin I need something more, and this is simply not enough.
The packaging is really nice. I always love products with pumps, I think it is easy to get the product out without too much work.
Another downside to this body lotion is that it is really strongly scented. The scent isn’t very bad, but it is strong and it smell like citrus. I do feel that everything is scented that we use on our skin and hair, that when you add perfume on top it just becomes too much.
I will not buy this one again
I give this product 2/7
