My thoughts on Vegreen Cica Serum

This product was gifted to me and last time I received serum, toner and cream. This time it was their Cica serum. The brand doesn’t have many products in their line yet but the products I got to try really surprised me a lot. Those products were the vegan version of snail mucus. I will link reviews to those products in the end of this post. And all three products ended up in my favorite list of 2021. So my hopes are really set high for this one as well.

This is a Cica serum and cica is a great ingredient for soothing, healing and moisturizing, but it is also a great ingredient for strengthening of the skins barrier.

Packaging

The packaging is nice. It comes in a plastic container with a pump and I really do like their packaging. I prefer simple and clean over fancy and bling but that doesn’t mean I don’t like bling. My main thought is that a cheaper packaging gives a lower price to the product. And that is what I prefer.

Vegreen Cica Serum is a lightweight serum. It is easy to use and easy to put in order in your skincare routine. It has a nice, a little slimy texture and a light blue color.

As all the other product I have tried from this brand it has no scent. This is something I really like as well since I do prefer my skincare to be without scent.

The serum absorbs really well and fast, into my skin and does leave a little sticky feeling after absorbed. That feeling does disappear when applying my moisturizer on top.

My skin type is super dry and I do need a lot of moisturizing products to make my skin feel happy. On my skin this is not super moisturizing, but you can’t expect to be fully moisturized with one serum. Especially not if you have my skin. But what I look for is how the product feels and if it adds any type of moisture to my skin compared to if I would not use it.

Before starting this it was the coldest of winter. My skin was really acting up (as normal during the colder periods) and When I finished testing this after about 2 months my skin felt happier. I can’t give this serum all the credit for this since the climate also became milder and my skin is not as bad during this time. But I do feel that it helped and made my skin lock in more moisture that if would without it.

Conclusion

This is not one of my favorite serums for super dry skin (I do prefer the Nature mucin serum). If I look at the moisturizing properties it self. But it is a really nice serum and if you have normal to dry skin it might be a perfect fit. I will use it together with other serums just to get the perfect match for my skin type. So I really recommend this one.

I give this product 6/7
