Finding the perfect eye cream can feel like an impossible task and what works for one person doesn’t necessarily work for another. I also find it rather difficult writing reviews on eye creams since I most often don’t experience wonders with them. I have fine lines under my eyes and I also have dry skin. So my main goal is to find a hydrating eye cream.
I really don’t believe in reducing to many fine lines simply with a cream, but with added moisture, wrinkles becomes less visible so that is mainly what I am looking for in a good eye cream

Key ingredients and benefits
When looking at the ingredient list of SOME BY MI Retinol Intense Advanced Triple Action Eye Cream, it is easy to just say nope, I am not doing that. So lets break down the most important ingredients.
- Retinol: As many of us already know this is an amazing ingredient when it comes to anti-aging, It is a powerful ingredient that boosts collagen production, speeds up cell turnover, and smoothens fine lines.
- Niacinamide: helps in brighten dark circles and even out skin tone. Niacinamide also helps strengthen the skin barrier. Read about skin barrier here.
- Peptides: are short chains of amino acids that act as building blocks for proteins like collagen and elastin. And by stimulating collagen production (as retinol does), peptides can help firm and tighten the skin.
- Hyaluronic Acid: Known for its hydration properties, hyaluronic acid ensures that the skin stays plump and moisturized, reducing the appearance of fine lines and giving the skin a smooth, dewy finish.
Texture, scent and application
The SOME BY MI Retinol Intense Advanced Triple Action Eye Cream has a lightweight, creamy texture that absorbs quickly into the skin, without leaving a greasy or heavy feeling. A small amount goes a long way.
When applying it I use a small dot of the cream on my ring finger and gently tap it around my eye area, avoiding direct contact with the eyes themselves. If you are new to retinols you should start using it a couple of times a week and then increase as you notice that your skin can handle it.
It is scented, which is just unnecessary (according to me) I just don’t understand why an eye cream needs to have added scent to it. I can understand if it is a natural scent from an herb that has been used. But not when the scent is added. It is not very strongly scented so it doesn’t bother me. I just don’t understand it.

My experience
I will start by saying yet again, that I think it is really difficult in reviewing eye cream. I always hear about too high expectations and people wanting to experience a filter effect. But that is simply not going to happen and isn’t what I am expecting it to do either. I need an eye cream that is moisturizing. And if it contains retinol I am just hoping that it does a little good. When using this I did experienced that my under eye area became a a little bit drier and when skin looks dry it also looks older.
As for this eye cream fulfilling my criteria I have to say no. I did not think it was very moisturizing and I did get a reaction to my eyes as well. I do have really sensitive eyes so I am not blaming the product. Just informing you, if you react to something, this might be it.
So sadly this is not a game changer or a personal favorite of mine.

Conclusion
Not a product that worked amazingly for me, but as always it is difficult saying exactly what it didn’t do since I did not expect miracles. I did not notice any difference on my under eye area. Instead I experienced irritation of my eyes and drier under eye area. So not a product I would recommend from my experience.
I give this product 2/7
