My thoughts on AHC Youth Lasting Real Eye Cream
Its exact name is AHC Youth Lasting Real Eye Cream for face which is a little confusing. But mainly it is an eye cream that you can use for face as well so it is more that they state that you can use it as an eye cream or a face cream. This is nothing new, but many people believe that products are always intended for one thing or the other but the truth is that you can use eye creams as face creams and vice versa. Is it really that easy?
Well it depends on why you use a specific eye cream. If you don’t use it for any specific reason you can use a regular face cream under your eyes as well. But if you are targeting certain issues eg puffiness, dark circles, dry under eye area or other issues it is of course better to use an eye cream to target that specific issue.
Packaging
It comes in a really pretty packaging. I do not understand the packaging completely. That is the opening of the cream. I really don’t understand it and I haven’t been able to find if it is supposed to be used during application but I guess it is just different looking. And different looking is always interesting.
Texture and scent
AHC Youth Lasting Real Eye Cream is really thick in consistency. I do find it to be a little inconvenient due to that it takes longer for it to penetrate my skin. This is only inconvenient if you apply makeup directly after you have done your skincare routine. If you don’t use makeup it really isn’t a problem. I don’t understand why brands need to add scent to an eye cream. Probably because it sells better if it has some scent to it but I just don’t get it. I do prefer products to be without scent. Simply because perfume is sometimes causing issues for sensitive skin. When you think about it. Almost all products we use contain some scent (laundry detergent, hair products, body lotions, skincare etc) then a lot of us add perfume on top of that. Just saying….
Did I like it
It is claimed to be anti aging. And as a lot of you already know I will never say that a product reduced my wrinkles or something like that. Simply because I think it is impossible to say since there are so many factors that determines if a product works (food, environment, hydration, climate, season etc). But if an area is moisturized it most often looks less wrinkled. I did not noticed anything like that with this eye cream. I do think that it is somewhat moisturizing but it doesn’t seem to penetrate my skin.
But it is a loved eye cream so this can of course only be my thoughts as well. As for its brightening effects I really did not noticed any difference their either. There are other eye creams I prefer over this so I will not repurchase this one. Also when I see an ingredient list like this I usually run the other way.
Conclusion
This is one of those product that seemed to be loved by many but I am not a fan. It is not a bad eye cream but I do find that it doesn’t penetrate my skin at all therefor making it a little difficult to use.
