My thoughts on DOUCCE Luscious lip stain
Received a sample in one of my Lookfantastic subscription boxes.
The full-sized product comes with a lip gloss as well as the lip stain. Which makes this impossible to review as a complete product.
Doucce Luscious lip stain is easy to apply and is really smooth. I only wished I would have received a different color since the color is way to strong for my likings.
I do think the name of this product is misleading. A stain usually stains the lip but this applies as a regular matte lipstick. I usually apply a tiny amount and then smudge it on my lips to get a softer look. But one needs to be rather quick to smudge since it dries really fast. I then usually apply a regular lip balm on top for a smoother and softer look.
When I add lip balm on top and smudge it, I really get a lovely color and like using it. You won’t get a complete matte finish but at least I get a product I can use. By doing this it doesn’t crumble either.
When applying a lip balm under and then adding the lip stain in full color without smudging I get a matte result but it still crumbles a lot on my lips.
This is supposed to be a lip product you can use both matte and glossy (then with the gloss) but whenever I try it without a balm it crumbles and looks really awful on my lips. The only way I have managed to use it and get it to look nice on me is to apply lip balm and then a tiny amount of lip stain and then smudging it and applying another coat of lip balm. When I use it this way it lasts a long time on my lips.
If you have dry lips you really need to exfoliate before using it or it will crumble even more and won’t look very nice
Doucce Luscious lip stain comes in a really nice packaging. It is simple and clean and I really do like it. The applicator is a regular doe foot which makes the application easy. It is scented with a chemically and sweet vanilla like many other lip products but I do think that the scent is ok.
I give this one really low points since this is really not a product for me. If the products were delivered with a gloss I might have a total different opinion, since I actually liked it some when I use a lip balm on top.
